However, since I've put so much time into the veggie garden, other areas have suffered (I'll be posting a pic soon of the "berry patch"). I'm sure that's the case with your veggie garden. Planting, harvesting & eating are the fun parts, not work at all! The beds are filled with 100% compost, it's just really dark. We've had a lot of rain and I almost didn't get a chance to take the pictures. We had a mix of rain & sun yesterday and every time the sun came out, I was busy inside and couldn't get outside quick enough before the rain would start again. ~Bettiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13614677622065540386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3441105948378258661.post-73690106635616075512014-06-17T18:47:39.561-07:002014-06-17T18:47:39.561-07:00We use kale quite a bit in soups and salads. They may actually be something you could try making in your solar oven too. Check out the recipe in my "First Harvest" post. There's a recipe link at the bottom for Caramelized Onion & Kale Pizza. The onions & kale make a great side dish too so you wouldn't even have to make the pizza to enjoy them.
